Completed in 1923 The Peace Statue was built by Bruce Wilder Saville. It was commissioned by The National Women's Relief Corps. It is made from Bronze and sits in downtown Columbus, In Capitol Square. The statue was built to commemorate the bravery of the soldiers of the Civil War and the women they left behind.
